(2) Advantages of Kaliyuga
As per Bhagwat Kaliyuga has two special advantages over other three Yug :
(i) In Kaliyuga, a great virtue is that virtuous deeds are fruitful simply by intention. But the consequences of sinful actions are reaped only when they are committed with the body; not merely by intention.
(ii) Hari Sankeertan – Bhajan is a very easy means to attain salvation.
(3) Seva
Service is the ultimate religion –
(i) Charity performed with a spirit of service (selfless action) yields a hundredfold reward; whereas charity done with pride paves the way to downfall.
(ii) He who does not serve his parents with all his heart and soul, his life is meaningless.
(4) Tarpan –
According to the Dharma Granth, one whose parents have attained the heavenly abode should perform daily Tarpan with heartfelt devotion, chanting any sacred mantra of their choice a minimum of eleven times. Swami Ramsukhdasji Maharaj also emphasized the importance of this practice during his visit to Puri. He advised performing Mansik Tarpan — mental offering — instead of the traditional water Tarpan, as the spilled water might come under someone’s feet and thereby vitiate the sanctity of the ritual.
In fact, ancestral blessings are the foundation of a happy and prosperous home; that is why we should perform daily Tarpan.
(5) Advice
Our forefathers followed these karma (s) sincerely and I am sure they must have attained salvation (Moksha). Now it is our duty to follow the path of our forefathers for our own benefit.
