Late Dhaniram Gupta

Dhaniramji :

A man of brilliance, vision, good foresight, honesty, integrity, religious and successful businessman. Brilliant in studies – topped Bhiwani Town by securing 86% marks. He had a very good command over English as well as Hindi. He also knew Sanskrit, Mundi and Urdu. He was very quick on Mathematical calculations. He could do multiplication of 3 digits x 3 digits verbally say 486 x 789. He was Honored as First Indian Independent Director on the Board of a Multinational International Company. He was General Secretary of Haryana Nagarik Sangh, Member of Price Fixation Committee of Jute Exchange (E&IJHE) and Patron of Bhubaneswar Marwari Society. He was First to own an independent building in KOLKATA in Baliyaliwala Parivar. His patriotism and sophistication are shone in poem composed by him in 1967 for Shri Bhagwat Dayal Sharma (The then CM of Haryana) which was presented to him by engraving on silver plate; – the last two lines of that are : “ धन्य धन्य हो भगवत दयाल, हरियाणा को करो निहाल । धनीराम की यही तमन्ना, सारा देश खुशी हो अपना । ” Courtesy – Bhai Prabhat / Pradeep

Laxmiji :

She was calm, sober, graceful, devoted, religious. She managed her home with love and care and efficient in household chores. Her famous delicious “ दिल खुशहाल की बर्फी ” was awesome and cherished by one and all. She was helpful to each and everybody at all times. She knew to read and write even in that era and sign in English. She used to mould herself to simplify pooja rituals for the new era to suit the younger generations by keeping its sanctity. She treated her bahu(s) as her own daughter(s). Grandchildren were fan of her. She taught her children perfect Aachaar, Vichaar, Vyavahaar, Satkarm and Sanskaar – आचार, विचार, व्यवहार, सत्कर्म और संस्कार । Her Satkarm were perfect example of The daughter sanctified both the families – पुत्रि पबित्र किए कुल दोऊ । Courtesy – Bhai Prabhat / Pradeep
